Emma @ 9 months. That weekend we headed off to Caledon 4×4 Estate near Clarens (Golden Gate area). What a fun weekend and really cheap. The trip there (in Lily) was pretty uneventful with us getting a little hot. The place was amazing with sandstone cliffs everywhere. The 4×4 routes were graded, we got stuck in a ditch on the easy grade and eventually Riaan (Vaughn’s business partner) had to pull us out as the back of the landy was stuck on a hump with the back wheels and the front left wheel off the ground. Silly driver not looking before he drove! We tried all the trails and had fun, even on the retrospect discovery of a notice telling passengers to disembark on one stage of the trail. Emma of course had a great time and slept through a lot of the obstacles, Mom only removed her from the car once when Lily was threatening to jump over a cliff sideways and backwards. How is that for faith in the driver!
